There has been a great trend in the past couple of years where Linen is taking a dominance in the Spring and Summer seasons. Linen is a natural fabric that is cool and comfortable. There have been some great advances in the process of making linen, which has lead to the discovery of a linen fabric that wrinkles less making it a more desirable fabric. Cotton is another great natural fabric that is breathable and will keep you cool.
New Trend of Working from Home
With so many companies that have switched from working in the office to working from home, the need for business wear is much less. We have adapted our product lines to accommodate this. Focusing on more comfort for the women who like to go for a walk, out for lunch or to the grocery store/shopping. Covid has changed the way we live and we have made sure to adjust to these changes.
Some of our more dressy lines Joseph Ribkoff and Frank Lyman have switched gears and have gone with a more casual approach going forward. They still have their classics for attending weddings etc. but they have broadened their line to cater to the casual lady. Carrying more casual looks that include denim, the most comfortable stretch denim I have ever worn. These brands do not just produce the average product, they put a lot of time and effort into sourcing the best fabrics and perfecting the fit.
Colour Palate for Spring 2021
The colour palate for spring is keeping with soft neutrals with splashes of colour to accent. However, we always try to have a wide variety of colour in the store to suit everyone’s tastes. Not everyone can wear the trendiest colours eg. mustard was and is still very popular but it is a very hard colour to wear.
And What About Golf!
Spring and Summer 2020 there was a huge boom in the golf industry.
We have noticed and acted on that. We are now carrying two golf lines that are not only comfortable but look fabulous! Great fabrics that are moisture wicking to keep you cool and dry on the golf course.
